The Folk of Gloucester is a beautiful 16th-century Tudor building in central Gloucester. It was once Gloucester Folk Museum, but now it is a heritage community centre with a packed programme of history-themed events. Look around the house and garden for free. Marvel at our unique Tudor wall paintings preserved for more than 500 years. See how Tudors would have slept in our authentic Tudor bedroom. Look into the ancient well we discovered in our floor - and much more! We put on family-friendly history events during weekends and school holidays, including theatre shows, craft workshops and reenactment fairs. Entry to these events is affordable or totally free. We have a cafe, toilets and craft area. Opening times: Tuesdays 10am - 12:30pm Thursdays - Saturdays 10am - 4pm Our address is 99-103 Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2PG.
