What is it?

This case belonged to John Cane. As a young GPO (General Post Office - the precursor to BT) engineer, John was one of a team seconded to Dollis Hill to build Colossus Mk. II. John then stayed with Colossus as one of the maintenance engineers at Bletchley Park.
